Moondust's focus is on traditional Big Band music -Ellington, Dorsey, Miller, Basie. This band understands the importance of blending; working on the subtleties of style, intonation, dynamics and attitude. They rehearse weekly, listening to each other, working on each tune until they think, "We've got it!" And they love every minute of it!

Eric Rogers and Judy DiMaso had the idea to start the band while reminiscing about their own Big Band experiences in December of 2006. He said, "Let's start our own big band." She said, "OK." And that was that. By the time Summer of 2007 arrived, they had recruited musicians who love the music as much as they do, begun rehearsing, and the band has been swingin' like nobody's business since they set eyes on the charts.
